Terms of Use
These are the rules for using Caseta. By creating an account or using the app you agree to them. They are short on purpose; if something is unclear, write to contact@dnatechbase.com.

Caseta is provided by the operator named above ("we", "us"). How we handle your data is in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
1. The service
Caseta is a mixtape app. You build cassettes with two sides of up to twelve tracks each, decorate the shell, record voice notes, upload audio and pictures, link YouTube videos, and lend a finished tape to one person you invite by username. Tapes play like tapes: in order, one side at a time. The service is free and has no purchases.
2. Accounts
- Caseta is for adults. You must be 18 or older to have an account. The service is not offered to anyone under 18. It is rated 18+ on the App Store, and on Google Play it is distributed to an adults-only audience. By creating an account you confirm that you are 18 or older. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18 we will close it and delete what is on it.
- You can sign up with an email address and password, with Google, or with Apple on iOS. The email address on your account must be one you control: it is how you sign in and how we reach you about your account.
- Keep your password and sign-in methods safe. What happens under your account is your responsibility until you tell us it has been misused.
- One person, one account. Do not open an account for somebody else or hand yours over.
3. Your content and licence
Everything you put on a tape (recordings, uploaded audio, pictures, titles, notes and links) is your content, and you keep ownership of it. We claim no rights in it beyond what is written here.
So that the app can work, you grant us a licence to store your content, to process it (for example, to make it playable or to size a picture), to play it back to you, and to deliver it to the one person you lend a tape to, for as long as it is on Caseta. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except where a copy must be kept briefly for backups or to deal with a report or legal request.
You are responsible for your content. By adding anything you confirm that you own it or have the right to share it in this way, and that it does not break these rules or the law.
4. House rules
The app shows you these before you add your first recording, upload, link or picture. They apply to everything you do on Caseta.
- Only add recordings, songs and pictures you have the right to share. That means things you made, things you are licensed to use, or things whose owner has agreed. Copying a song from a record, a stream or a download onto a tape without permission is not allowed, even for one friend.
- No hateful, sexual, violent or harassing content, on tapes or in loan notes. This covers recordings, uploaded audio, pictures, stickers, titles, artist names, and the note you write when lending a tape. Content that attacks a person or group, that is sexually explicit, that glorifies or threatens violence, or that is meant to intimidate or humiliate someone is not allowed.
- A lent tape reaches one invited person. Do not use it to spam or to target anyone. Lending is for people who want to hear from you. Do not send tapes to strangers, to lists of addresses, to people who have asked you to stop, or to someone as a way of harassing them.
- Recipients can report a tape and block a sender. Reports go to a human. The person you lend to can report the tape from its page and block you from lending to them again. Every report is read by a person at our support address, not by a machine.
- Copyright owners can write to contact@dnatechbase.com and content will be taken down. See section 7 for how that works.
5. Lending a tape
- A tape can be lent to one invited Caseta username at a time. The loan is bound to that account, not to the name: only that account can open it, and it stays with the account if the username is later changed. To receive a tape, a person needs the app and a Caseta account.
- Every account has a username. You may change yours once every 30 days; a name you give up is held for 30 days before anyone else can take it. Do not choose a name that impersonates a person, a brand or Caseta staff — we may rename an account that does.
- You can take a tape back (revoke the loan) whenever you like. Once revoked, the recipient can no longer play it.
- You choose whether the recipient sees your name and photo or just "A friend".
- A lent tape is not to be forwarded. The recipient may listen; they may not pass the link on, copy the tape or re-share its content. A link only works for the invited address anyway.
- We may end a loan ourselves if the tape is reported, if it breaks these rules, or if we have to act on a copyright notice.
6. Prohibited content and conduct
On top of the house rules, do not:
- Upload or link anything illegal, or anything that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights.
- Impersonate another person, or lend a tape under a name that is not yours in order to deceive.
- Use Caseta to send scams, phishing, malware or unsolicited advertising.
- Try to reach content you were not lent, to get around a revoked loan, or to probe, overload or interfere with the service.
- Scrape, copy or resell the service or any part of it.
- Use YouTube tracks in a way that breaks the YouTube Terms of Service. YouTube videos on Caseta play through YouTube's own embedded player and remain subject to YouTube's terms and the Google Privacy Policy.
7. Copyright and takedowns
We respect copyright and expect you to. If you own the rights to music, a recording, a picture or any other work and believe it appears on Caseta without permission, email contact@dnatechbase.com with:
- what the work is and how we can identify it,
- where it appears (for example the tape name and the sender's email, if you have it),
- a statement that you own the rights or act for the owner, and
- how we can reach you.
We will remove or disable access to the content promptly and tell the account that added it. An account that repeatedly adds infringing content will lose access to Caseta.
8. Moderation, reports and blocking
- The person you lend a tape to can report it from the tape page, choosing a reason (copyright, abuse, sexual content, spam or something else).
- A recipient can block a sender, after which that sender cannot lend to them.
- Reports go to a human at contact@dnatechbase.com. We look at every one, and we may revoke a loan, remove content, restrict a tape from being lent, or suspend or close an account, depending on what we find.
- You can also report anything directly to that address at any time.
9. Termination and account deletion
You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile, then the settings gear, then "Delete account") or by email; the Delete account page explains both. Deleting your account removes your tapes, recordings, pictures, loans and the account itself, and cannot be undone.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that is used for abuse or infringement, or where the law requires it. Where we can, we will tell you why. If your account is closed, the licence in section 3 ends and your content is removed as on deletion.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Caseta is provided as it is, free of charge. We work to keep it running and to keep your tapes safe, but we cannot promise that it will always be available, free of faults, or that nothing will ever be lost. Keep your own copies of recordings that matter to you.
We are not responsible for content that other users add or lend, nor for YouTube videos or other third-party content that a tape links to. We are not responsible for losses that we could not reasonably have foreseen, or that come from you breaking these terms.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not let us limit, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, and nothing removes rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Romania, without taking away the protection of mandatory consumer law in the country where you live. Disputes go to the competent courts of Deva, Hunedoara County, Romania, unless local law gives you the right to use your own.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. When we do, the effective date at the top changes, and if the change is significant the app will ask you to accept the new terms before you continue. If you do not agree, stop using Caseta and delete your account.
13. Contact
For anything about these terms, a report, or a copyright notice: contact@dnatechbase.com.
